Explore Australian bioenergy assets and projects
Explore Australian bioenergy evidence records alongside Admin-approved, company-attributed supply and demand signals. Filter by state, pathway or product, or privately scan related opportunities with your state and postcode. Registry records overlap and are not unique plant counts. Approximate pins and publication approval do not establish current operation, available supply, deliverability or a commercial match.

Projects, opportunities, supply and demand
Projects show public-source evidence with source dates and missing information. Opportunities show member descriptions approved for publication with company attribution and consent. Supply and Demand remain separate signals, not confirmed inventories, contracts or buyer commitments. Historical and suspended registry records are excluded by default.
What does Scan an opportunity do?
Enter your activity, desired opportunity, product or pathway, required Australian state and postcode, and optional address. The scan filters public records by state and documented pathway and member listings by state, product and supply or demand intent. Same-postcode member signals appear first. Your address is not plotted or published; the scan does not calculate distance or generate automatic matches.
From discovery to a reviewed opportunity
Save projects in your private Bioenergy account, claim your stakeholder role for Admin verification, or submit a correction with a source. Submit supply, demand or project descriptions separately with publication consent and company details. Admin may request revisions before approving publication. Assessment and quote requests remain private.
Frequently asked questions
How many bioenergy plants operate in Australia?
No public source provides a certified, current census. The explorer shows evidence records from several registers that overlap, so record counts are not plant counts. An unsuspended accreditation or registered carbon project does not prove a plant is operating today.
Why do some records have no map pin?
Registry points require source-supported coordinates. Approved member opportunities may have a separately reviewed, explicitly approximate public locality point, never a private address. Records and listings without a public point remain searchable; no coordinates are invented.
Can I correct a record or register my plant?
Yes. Use 'Submit a correction' or 'Register your plant or resource'. Submissions are reviewed by Shelby before anything changes and confidential details are never published automatically.
Does the opportunity scan confirm local supply or demand?
No. It filters related records and approved member signals by state, documented pathway, product and intent, with same-postcode signals first. Reasons are shown, but location does not establish available volume, delivery, suitability or a commercial match.
Can I save projects and get area alerts?
Signed-in users can save projects in their Bioenergy account and register area alerts using a required state, postcode and selected interests. Alerts relate to newly approved member listings, not every registry change or guaranteed local availability. You can pause or remove alerts in your account.
